Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker Characters

Link- A young boy destined for greatness. He is unaware of the adventures ahead of him until mysterious events happen right in front of his eyes. He seems to be the more animated version of the Kid Link in OOT & MM. He lives on Outset Island with his little sister and his grandma, trying to live a peaceful and normal life until the turn of events that shakes his world.

Aryll-Link's little sister on Outset Island. She loves her brother dearly and he loves her dearly and tries to protect her at all costs. When she gets kidnapped, he sets out to free her. He vows to save her from Ganon and the Helmaroc King.

Tetra-A young pirate who says she does not have a family except for the pirates she lives with. Her past is unknown to everyone except for a select few; she doesn't even know. She tries to be the high pirate of the Great Sea but is always working for that title.She gives Link a ride early in the game and becomes an important character.Tetra has always wondered why she was put on this world and yearns to find her destiny.

Princess Zelda-The young heir to the throne of Hyrule, the underwater kingdom. She also becomes an important character. She helps Link as much as she possibly can. She discovers herself and her past during the early part of the game. Zelda has great telepathic powers and holds the Triforce of Wisdom within her. The princess is very kind and feels despair for Link as all of the world's hope lies in his hands. Zelda is the key to Ganon's plan and must be kept a secret from him.

Link's Grandma- Link's wonderful grandma who does what every guardian does when a child goes missing/gets kidnapped: worries and helps. Later, when Link returns to Outset and it is infested with evil creatures, she makes Link a wonderful soup that heals him.

Ganondorf- The evil king who resides in the heavily guarded and dark Forsaken Fortress with his ally, the Helmaroc King. He kidnaps little children and has several different forms including Phantom Ganon from other games. He is the final boss after his other forms. He broke out of the seal that Link and Princess Zelda placed on him at the end of OOT and has set the whole Great Sea into chaos. He once took over the lost kingdom, betraying the King in the process, and hurt all those who opposed him. Ganon still holds the Triforce of Power, making him the deadliest being in the land. After Ganon broke free, he has made his keep up in the Forbidden Fortress, and searches for a way to return to the lost kingdom and make it his own again. He continually searches for the Princess to use her in his plan....

King of Red Lions- A wonderful red boat with a red lion's head that speaks. Scared Link outta his wits but he offered himself as Link's transport after Link tried to save his little sister and has a very interesting dark secret....which will not be divulged until discovered in the game. He's a very interesting character and very important. He gives Link the Wind Waker at Windfall Island. He speaks the ancient Hylian language and communicates with the gods. The King of Red Lions is said to have some sort of connection with the Royal Family of Hyrule.

Quill- A Rito who is the mail bird for Outset Island. When Tetra refuses Link a ride on her pirate ship, he convinces her to take Link since Link saved her life. He is not so much of an important character but is fun to know.

Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule- The King of the underwater kingdom of Hyrule and father to Zelda. He was Hyrule's greatest King and one of his goals was to permanently banish Ganon from Hyrule but it never succeeded. He hopes and searches for a hero to banish Ganon once and for all!

Valoo- Valoo is the God of the Sky, according to the Rito tribe. He watches over the Rito from his place on top of the mountain on Dragon Roost Island. Very few people can talk with him unless they know the ancient Hylian language. Valoo grants the Rito their wings when they come of age.

The Great Deku Tree- The God of the Earth. He watches over the Koroks in the Forest Haven.

Medli-Medli is a sweet Rito girl that has grown up on Dragon Roost Island and has taken care of Valoo as his new attendant. Her mother taught her well to speak some Hylian and communicate with Valoo.

Makar-A young and talented Korok who leads the Forest Haven (Korok's) ceremonies. He loves to get in trouble and eventually gets saved by Link

Fado-The Sage of Wind that is a Kokiri. A descendant of Mido from OOT. He teaches Makar his duties as a Sage. He follows in Saria's, the Sage of the Forest,footsteps and then gets destroyed by Ganon so he is just left in spirit form.

Laruto-Laruto is the Princess and Sage from the Zora race, which is extinct. She is a descendant of Princess Ruto of the Zora. Laruto later, as she was praying for years in the Earth Temple, got destroyed by Ganon and he left only her spirit there to teach Medli her duties as a Sage.
